TVA schedules power outage to make repairs
The Tennessee Valley Authority has scheduled a planned power outage for parts of Cullman Electric Cooperative's service area on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, starting at 11 p.m. All power should be restored by 1 a.m. The planned outage was requested by TVA in order to make repairs to a TVA transmission line that was damaged by gunfire. Communities that will be part of the outage include Fairview, New Hope, Hulaco, Baileyton, Ryan, Etha, Simcoe and possibly some of Goldridge. Co-op members who are included in the outage were contacted by phone last weekend and should receive another courtesy call this evening. Cullman Electric Cooperative would like to apologize to our members for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience.
