Cullman Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric cooperative serving residential, commercial, and industrial members in Cullman, Morgan, Lawrence, and Winston counties. Cullman EC was incorporated in 1936, serving 350 members with 30 miles of electrical line. Today, the co-op has more than 42,000 member accounts and maintains more than 3,300 miles of line.

Cullman Electric Cooperative is seeking highly qualified, talented and motivated applicants for the position of System Engineer.

The individual in this position assists with studies, projects, and activities related to the safe, reliable and efficient operation and management of the Cooperative’s electric system.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED INCLUDE: Possess and exhibit the ability to compile and organize complex and diverse information; translate concepts and information from images and drawings; coordinate projects in a timely manner as well as   possess the ability to use tact and courtesy in dealing with members/owners and the general public.  Candidate must work cooperatively as a team member to demonstrate the values of commitment, accountability, reliability and efficiency and must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  

WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily inside with possible outside exposure to extreme weather conditions. Occasional overnight travel may be involved.  

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES REQUIRED: Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License, CPR and First Aid Certification. The successful candidate must also possess the ability to pass the FAA Remote Pilot Certification, the Fundamentals of Engineering Certification exam (FE) as well as obtain the Professional Engineering (PE) License within a designated time.
