Simplify your payments! Cullman Electric Cooperative has partnered with the Arley Water Department to offer combined billing for electric and water services. This means you can pay both bills at once, saving you time and hassle.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CULLMAN COUNTY WATER AND SANITATION:

  • September 27, 2026, is the final day Cullman Electric Cooperative (CEC) will accept payments for Cullman County Water & Sanitation-only accounts.

  • No water or sanitation-only account payments can be accepted between September 28th through October 4, 2026.

  • Payment processing for Cullman County Water and Sanitation services will resume October 5, 2026, with Cullman County Water Department.

Grace Period

A grace period will be in effect during the transition period. Customers will not be penalized for payment delayed due to the temporary system conversion.

Payments

Beginning October 5, 2026, all payments for both water and sanitation services will need to be made at or to the Cullman County Water Department.

Automatic Bank & Credit Card Draft (AUTOPAY)

  • Customers currently enrolled in automatic bank and credit card draft with Cullman Electric must complete a new authorization form with Cullman County Water the week of October 5, 2026, to continue participating in AutoPay.
  • Any draft established through Cullman Electric Cooperative WILL NOT TRANSFER to the new billing system.
  • There will be some customers whose draft will not come out due to the transition. Cullman County Water will work with those customers to ensure accounts are paid in full and not penalized for any delayed payments.
  • After September drafts are completed, NO MORE DRAFTS will be processed until you set up draft directly with Cullman County Water Department.
  • Customers will need to enroll directly with Cullman County Water Department. Additional information regarding AutoPay enrollment will be sent out as soon as possible.

Sanitation Information

  • All sanitation information, including service questions, account updates, and other inquiries, should be directed to Cullman County Sanitation at 256-287-1142.
  • Payments for sanitation services will be made through the Cullman County Water Department.

 

ARLEY WATER DEPARTMENT

Cullman Electric Cooperative is still partnering with Arley Water to provide billing services to the water customers they serve. For those water customers who receive their electric service from Cullman EC, you have the convenience of paying both bills with one check, at one time, in one location.

Arley: To request a new meter install, establish a new water account, or discontinue a water account with the Arley Water Department, please contact the Arley Water directly by calling 205-387-0156 or visit their office at 6788 Co. Rd. 41, Arley, AL 35541.

There are several towns and municipalities that have their own water department services and billing, including but not limited to Hanceville, City of Cullman, Vinemont (VAW), Johnson Crossing, Walter, East Cullman, Cullman County, and Addison. Your water meter may list who provides your water service if you are unsure.  

Cullman Electric Cooperative does not service or maintain any water lines. If you need assistance with your water service, please contact your water department.

Cullman Electric Cooperative does not have the authority to make adjustments to water account balances. For questions regarding your water account bill, please contact the appropriate water department.

Cullman Electric Cooperative bills for three local Sanitation Departments. You must call them to request a garbage can, and we will automatically add it to your bill.

If you have questions about your issued trash can, you will need to contact your sanitation department directly. Cullman Electric only provides the billing for the sanitation departments that serve our members.
