Cullman Electric Cooperative’s Touch A Truck will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cullman County Fairgrounds. The sensory-friendly hour is from 9 to 10 a.m. Admission to the event is free.
In addition to all the excitement, attendees can also make a meaningful impact in the community by participating in a special giveaway. Guests who bring nonperishable food items or hygiene products to support Cullman Electric Cooperative’s Community Cupboard will be entered into a drawing for fun prizes, including a Cozy Coupe, water table, bike, and basketball goal. Each canned food item donated earns one entry, giving families even more chances to win while helping neighbors in need.
The event will feature vehicles from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Cullman police and fire departments, Cullman EMS, and many volunteer fire departments across the county. Other vehicles visitors can check out will include bucket trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, farm tractors, and heavy work and construction equipment from local businesses.
Touch A Truck is meant to be a hands-on event. The doors of these vehicles will be open, and guests are encouraged to get inside and check them out. Representatives from all emergency agencies and businesses will be there to discuss the vehicles and show people around.
