Dear Members,
As you all know, we are going through challenging times dealing with the coronavirus and the shutdowns associated with the virus. Here at Cullman Electric Cooperative, we are doing our best to adapt, continue working and make sure that we keep the power on. We have made changes to try to limit exposure of our members and our employees to each other to try to stop or slow down the spread of the virus. We have changed our way of doing business as follows:
-
We have closed the lobbies at both the Cullman and Addison offices. The drive-thru remains open at both offices and we encourage everyone to use the phone, internet or kiosk to do business with us. Almost all transactions can be completed without coming to the office by visiting our website www.cullmanec.com or calling 256-737-3200.
-
We have varied our employees’ work times, work locations and staggered days off in some situations. We are trying to limit our employee’s contacts with co-workers so that if one employee tests positive, it will not impact our ability to continue working.
-
We are cleaning and sterilizing our facilities as often as possible and we are encouraging our employees to practice social distancing.
-
Due to the hardships caused by the shutdown, we are suspending electric cut-offs and associated late fees until April 15, 2020. At that time, we will reassess the situation.
This situation changes every day, almost every hour. We will try to keep you informed to the best of our abilities. We encourage all of you to remember and help our friends, neighbors and family members who have lost their jobs and some who have lost their businesses. We also need to pray for those who have been inflicted with this virus and their families. It is at times like these that we need to take care of each other, even if that means staying away from each other.
